MUSIC MIDTOWN…THERE’S AN APP FOR THAT!
Insider Festival Experience and Exclusive Info Now Available on Your Cell Phones
ATLANTA: Music Midtown launched for the first time today the Official Music Midtown app, an interactive, electronic guide to one of the southeast’s most well-known music festivals. The anticipation to the two-day extravaganza is building and now fans can access the festival before the gates to Piedmont Park open.
Make sure you’ve downloaded the Official Music Midtown app, presented by AT&T to get the latest news and updates on the festival. You can also use the app to participate in the AT&T Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win some great prizes, including an autographed guitar! To download the app, visit: http://musicmidtown.com/app The app is available for free on both Apple and Android devices. In addition to festival games, you can also stay in the know with the latest festival news, and the answers to all of your FAQs are waiting right there for you. Other highlights include:
Music Lineup: See every artist and where they are playing, read their bio, watch videos and read content exclusive to the app. The lineup features: Foo Fighters, Van Hunt, TI, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts and The Avett Brothers on Friday, and Pearl Jam, Ludacris, Girl Talk, Garbage, Adam Ant, Neon Trees, Florence + The Machine, Civil Twilight, LP and O’Brother on Saturday.
Map: You know it’s important to locate the easiest route to the beer station. See a zoomable/scrollable map of the entire event. Use the filters to show and hide various points of interest (eh hem, where the SweetWater will be flowin’).
Rockstar yourself: Think you’re a rockstar? Let’s see it! Take a photo, dress yourself up and share with the world. You know where to tag us – @MusicMidtown on Twitter!
Listen: Can’t wait until all your favorite bands are in one place? We can’t either, so we made a custom radio station for Music Midtown powered by Slacker. Listen to songs from all the artists performing at Music Midtown 2012.
Social Media Integration: For any artist, take a picture from inside the app and have the caption automatically filled in with that artist and stage info. Push the photo to Facebook, Twicpic or both at the same time. You can also update your status and tweet about the bands. Easy as that.
